					My wife and I had an amazing food tour with David. Not only did he select some amazing places to get some food and drinks, he also delivered a compelling narrative that interweaves the general history of Portland to it's food cart scene in an interesting and entertaining manner. Aside from that, he is also very much a chill dude to hang out with for an afternoon who shows through his contact with local business owners what a great city Portland is and how tightly nit the food cart community is. Would definitely recommend anyone going on a food tour to pick David.

					David is a fantastic tour guide. He has a clear passion for his city and incredible knowledge of Portlands history and culture. Each stop on his tour was delicious and the people we met along the way were unforgettable. I could not recommend this tour more highly, 10 out of 10!

					I’ve been on a dozen food tours. David’s tour is one of the best.  The food portions are very generous and a great mix of different foods and flavors from locally-owned small businesses.  Started with an amazing egg sandwich at food cart in Pioneer square, also had a Japanese Katsu, amazing Thai from famous chef, chocolate tasting, Hawaiian shaved ice. Perfect ending of a drink on top of the double decker bus.  We were very full at end of tour.  Also appreciated being able to sit during most of the tastings- some other tours you are eating many of the food stops in the street. David was passionate and fun explaining the rich history of the buildings and area. Highly recommend this tour-you will not be disappointed.

					I really enjoy participating in food tours while traveling, so my girlfriend purchased this experience for my birthday in our current hometown of Portland. Our journey began at Pioneer Square, where we were warmly greeted by our guide, David. From the very start, David's engaging introduction set the tone for an unforgettable culinary adventure. Throughout the tour, we visited five different spots, each offering a unique gastronomic experience. What impressed me the most was the variety of locations on the itinerary, as I had only been to one of them before. David's expertise in food and his deep knowledge of Portland added an extra layer of enjoyment to the tour. As someone with a hearty appetite, I always worry about getting enough to eat during these tours. However, I can confidently say that I left the tour feeling completely satisfied. If you're visiting Portland or even if you're a local, I highly recommend this exceptional food tour. It's not only a chance to indulge in delicious cuisine but also an opportunity to learn something new about this vibrant city.

					We did the portland food tour with David who was fantastic in every way. Great knowledge of city history and food friendly helpful.and full of animal facts. Would absolutely recommend to anyone who wants to get a feel for downtown food scene.

					Found David through Groupon and SO glad I did. Booked a food tour as a surprise for 3 visiting friends and David worked with me directly to set up a prank on them! David was the highlight of their weekend and they’re still talking about… Can’t thank him enough!

					Amazing! What a unique and enjoyable food tour. David was very knowledgable about Portland and took us to some unique spots - a chocolate shop, breakfast sandwiches, Japanse Katsu, and so much more. We were so full by the end - but we had such an amazing time! Great for a large group of people! Would highly recommend!

					  Portland’s best food tour!  - David’s food tour was so much fun! There were 8 of us on the tour in brutally hot temps. He was fantastic at keeping us on the go and cool... read more when possible. There are multiple stops and lots to try. His knowledge of the area is impressive as he took us around. The chocolate sampling and the yummy Japanese sandwich were highlights for us! I highly recommend this tour with David!

					  Best Food Tour Ever! - The Downton Portland Food Tour and our guide David were amazing.  This is not your run of the mill food tour Davis’s is a confirmed local that adds to... read more the charm of the tour.  He is full of Portland wisdom past and present and really gives a great insight to the unique Portland culture.   He is a true lover of all things Portland and embraces it. The food was amazing and David was able to give us a true taste of Portland a food truck culture and show that just because it’s a food truck doesn’t mean the food is not extremely innovative and unique.  You definitely do not feel like you are getting a little cheap but of a tasting.  You will not go hungry and personalizes the tour to fit your groups needs.   

   My sister and I purchased this tour for our extremely skeptical father for Father’s Day.   He was a skeptic no longer after spending 3 hours with David.   Run don’t walk to book a tour with David.  You will NOT regret it.

The food he introduced to me are all good. Especially the chicken rice. Really high quality. And he knows i’m not a big fan of Donut, so he brought me to another place, the Chinese tea house for some good quality tea and snacks.

Overall. Very good. Hopefully i can visit Portland again, and join another tour arranged by David.

He is knowledgeable (both as a foodie and as an area expert), kind (he gave some extra food to the homeless), and humble.... read more He also loves a good walk; we easily surpassed 10k steps for some guilt-free sampling from some iconic food pods, restaurants, bars, and tea houses - even from a London double decker bus turned  food cart. We had a good time with the other members of the small group. I was here with a colleague at a conference; this was easily the highlight of our trip.

We enjoyed very delicious, very filling portions of food that I won’t disclose in detail as they are best enjoyed without knowing what’s coming up. But don’t worry, they are all amazing!! The vendors all know him so clearly he is welcomed regularly. We really felt taken care of. Would highly recommend David’s tour!!

					  David's tour is thoughtfully designed, not just with the mix of food choices but also the pace - it moved from standing to sitting, and ended with a light walk... read more to a spot with a restroom meeting my needs before I realized I had them. David is a great storyteller, weaving urban history, culinary insight, and personal history seamlessly; his love of his hometown of Portland is a salt bringing extra flavour out of every dish. I was the only person on my tour and was afraid it'd be awkward. It was not. The whole experience made me feel right at home. Highly recommend!
